Review schematic designs of new projects received from the design team, to verify their compliance with local building codes & regulations.
Responsible for the technical revision of all architecture drawings, at different phases of the work progress.
Responsible for reviewing structure & MEP drawings and technical coordination between all disciplines.
Responsible for reviewing and approving all shop drawings received from contractors.
Responsible for communicating with contractors & suppliers.
Responsible for creating any required construction details.
Responsible for preparing & updating projects' BOQs and calculating quantities.
Develop and regularly update a "Construction Details Library" to serve all projects.
Develop and regularly update a "Vendors List" of manufacturers and suppliers of finishing materials including (contacts, brochures, catalogues, details, samples, prices... etc.).
Responsible for construction administration including responding to all RFIs and site queries, filing & archiving of all officially submitted documents & drawings, and any official submissions & revisions related to the project, according to the firm's archiving system.
Attend meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers & client representatives as needed.
A Bachelor's degree of architecture /or civil engineering (5+ year experience in technical office.
AutoCAD, REVIT, Word & Excel are a must (additional softwares are an asset).
Proven experience with working drawings and details.
Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in both Arabic & English languages) and calculating quantities.
Strong technical knowledge of structure & electro-mechanical design concepts and strong coordination skills.
Knowledge of design standards, local codes and government regulations.
